Will was ranked #1 in the world for the 2023-2024 season. Between 2018 and 2024 Will has won 4 gold medals, 2 silver and 3 bronze along with 4 national titles. This season Will ranked 6th this year in the world and #1 in the USA. He is currently the captain of Team USA.

purpose

The purpose of the Will Castillo bobsled team is to represent the USA with honor and integrity, while inspiring others with my story. Through hard work and determination we can overcome life-changing battles.

Honor

I had the honor to serve with two of the bravest men to wear the uniform; David Kirkpatrick and Eddie Tamez. Both were killed in a combat mission in 2007 and they will never be forgotten.

Pride

It did not take long for me to become patriotic after immigrating here at an early age. I enlisted in the United States military to serve and protect the USA after the attacks of 9/11.

Change

The Purple Heart is an award given to those injured in combat. It also represents the moment in my life that changed me both mentally and physically. I had to adapt and adjust to the new me.

prayer

Being the only survivor in a combat mission really tested my faith, strength and courage. Many times I failed and it wasn’t until I healed my relationship with God that everything started to make sense again.
