ST. MORITZ, Switzerland
(Jan. 25, 2020)- U.S. Para Bobsled team members Guillermo "Will" Castillo (Orlando, Fla.) and Sarah Frazier-Kim (Houston, Texas) made the journey to St. Moritz to take on the famed Olympia Bob Run, the only track in the world to rely entirely on natural snow and cold temperatures.

St. Moritz hosted two races over two days. The first day of racing was a tough one for both athletes as their inexperience with the Olympia run left them outside the top 10.

Castillo finished 14th with a combined time of 2:30.88 with runs of 1:15.59 and 1:15.29. Frazier-Kim clocked a two-run total of 2:34.94 to finish 19th after crossing the finish line in 1:18.01 and 1:16.93.

Arturs Klots from Latvia was victorious on day one with a combined time of 2:28.09. Italian Fabrizio Caselli secured silver in 2:28.60, while Canada's Lonnie Bissonnette claimed bronze in 2:28.62.

Castillo improved in today's race, finishing 10th with a two-run total of 2:29.53. Both of his runs of 1:14.97 and 1:14.56 were 10th best of the field. Frazier-Kim was again 19th with a total time of 2:33.52 (1:17.49, 1:16.03).

Corie Mapp from Great Britain won with an aggregate time of 2:27.31. Klots claimed silver In 2:27.96, and Caselli earned bronze in 2:28.17.

"Competing against these incredible athletes is such a privilege," Castillo said. "My goal today was to finish in the top ten, and I accomplished that. Now I'm looking forward to returning to my home track and the Para World Cup in two weeks."

The next stop on the Para World Cup is February 3-7 in Lake Placid, N.Y. Castillo and Frazier-Kim will rejoin teammates Steven Jacobo and Rick Evans for the seventh and eighth races of the season. Frazier-Kim intends to use the lessons learned this week, both good and bad, to improve her driving skills and technique, and to utilize them to put together two strong races in Lake Placid.
